Free books to my mp player would be great. or cd's. I have been buying books because I joined a local book club and we have to read a book a month. There are some good deals on Amazon for everything.

It's not free, but audible.com has a membership fee of $14.95 and you get one free credit to use every month. They can be downloaded to MP3 players.

Going back to the Kindle, is it the reads to you feature? Or, can you now down load audio books too?

I would love to have the Kindle for my general reading and save my Book money for the keepers.

What a great idea!! I don't think the libraries here do that, but I bet I would take advantage of it if they did! I am listening to "Cell" by Steven King while I am sewing now..... :D

I love audio books. I buy them at Half price bOoks and then pass them on to others who enjoy them. Borrow from the libray too but have to take them back. LOL. I am going to see about downloading onto my computer. My DD downlaoded 10 books by Charlene Harris...DUh. not up my alley but she tried. LOL. Maybe she can do more. I am listening to dvd now with A book by Tammi Hoag. Love audio.

I've read all those books by Charlene Harris... If you can get past the primary subject matter they are pretty good mysteries.

Our library has web access and I just do a direct download from their site to my computer. I can also burn them to a CD to listen to when I travel.
