I am a VERY happy camper now! Now I don't have to worry if there is nothing good on TV to keep me company whilst I quilt...I just download a book (takes about 10 min. to download) and away I go!

And no hassle driving to the library during their hours or remembering to return them on time, etc. They are automatically returned (and deleted from my computer) at the end of the 2 weeks. If I'm not done reading it, I can just check it out again!
This is my very favorite thing to do while quilting! May you have many hours of enjoyment.

Have you listen to King's book the Dome? Makes you think about just where we are in the grand scope of things.

Kindle is a hand held electronic device about the size of a large paper back but less than an inch thick. You can download and store books on it to create your own electronic reading library. It is a system that allows you to down load the books without a computer any time anywhere you want. With Kindle you can carry around 1000's of book without the bulk.

One of the great things, in my opinion, about Kindle is the eInk, it's a font system that looks and reads like a paper back. And, using an arrow or your finger touch, you turn the pages as you would with a paper back.

Most books download for less than $10, there are 1000s that are free, you can also download magazines and newpapers.

I've been kinda watching the eReaders (generic term) for awhile. Trying to decide if it would be a great stocking stuffer from Santa.

It would make a great x-mass gift that keeps on giving. I purchased one for my husband who reads alot. Maybe a book a week or so. Now when someone wants to get him something and don't know what to do, i tell them get a gift certificate from amazon and he gets whateverhe wants to read when he needs a new book. Works out great.
