Since the day my daughter was born - years and years ago- Ive been using ALL FREE for just her clothes, blankets and sheets- basically anything that was going to be in contact with her.. I still use it today.. never found a reason to change it..
I use Gain, Era or Tide for hubby and I..
And we all use downy..

I was very disappointed that they have added some scent to the Arm & Hammer...hello! What do they think the irritating part is anyway! I can still find some of the unscented locally. When I can't find it, I use other unscented soaps. I also use the Downy softner that is free of dyes/purfumes.
Side note...I also had eczema really bad...my skin was so dry it would crack and bleed. None of the prescription meds helped. My BIL saw an ad for a product called Freederm and I tried it. On their website, it looks too good to be true, but I figured for the small amount of money to try it it was worth a shot. It worked for me! There was a noticeable difference in just a couple of days. I use it 2x a day and I very rarely have a problem with it now. I've been using it for several years now. Not affiliated, just a very satisfied customer...the website is http://www.freederm.com/

I've been making my own soap & softener. I also ran across a blog where she used a tin foil ball in the dryer instead of softener. I may try that. One of my girls gets sensitive to laundry soap..she hasn't had an issue with my homemade stuff.
