I use a down pillow and a down comforter from Germany. I wash them in the machine and dry them in the dryer and hang them outside to get some nice fresh air running through them. I also hang them outside in the icy cold weather to give them a good airing out - here in Minnesota it gets pretty darn cold, but the pillows and comforter keep you warm. Feels so good. Edie

For years I couldn't bring myself to buy an expensive pillow, but I finally relented and got a good goose down and I LOVE IT! I sleep in all sorts of positions- side, back, stomach, so one of those pillows just for one type of sleeper never was good. But I can scrunch this one up when in one my side, flatten it when I'm on my stomach and have a little bit of a roll under my head when I'm on my back. I'll never go back to cheap fiberfill pillows again - except to use in pillow shams!

It's down for me . I hate foam pillows , they get hot, don't get into just the right position well. When I travel I don't sleep well as hotels have foam. They are pricey , but worth every penny.

The shredded foam from way back was the best pillow I ever had. Bought the foam and stuffed my own pillow.
Now the cheap 5.00 pillows from walmart are the best. I use a small loosely filled poly fiber pillow to scruch under my head. I am mainly a side sleeper. I have trouble sleeping sometimes but, not because of my pillow.

I made one of these out of Hello Kitty satin. I don't like a "regular" pillow. http://www.sew4home.com/projects/pil...ng-neck-pillow

I keep changing mine off and on. memory foam, soft, hard, and a smaller walnut husk one (or what ever is in it) that I love and wish were larger. Good luck.

If it's buckwheat hulls, you can buy those (online) in bulk, then make your own pillow whatever size you want.

I have to use a contour pillow, even though I sleep on my side. Regular use of any other type, ends up causing me neck strain and headaches. The contour pillows feel hard, at first . . . but then mold to one's neck and head. The main problem I have with them, is the smell! A new one has to air out for a few weeks, before I can use it.

I use one of those temperpedic pillows, but it's a generic one from Target. It's curved higher on the bottom. It's wonderful!! Cost about $20.
