The river is suppose to only get to 38' & crest!! Last year we hit the all time high of 40.82' & made national news. I sure hope they are right.

My old kitty snuggled under the covers with me for a nap this afternoon. He has renal failure and doesn't have a long future. Am enjoying each day he has. He's still spry and happy. He will be 20 on St. Pat's! That is 100 in our years.

Truly, enjoy each day you have with your kitty. 20 years is amazing as you know. Spoil him, love him and build up the memories. Mine had to be put to sleep in the fall b/c of renal failure and even though he was a holy terror to the dogs, I miss him every day. Mine was about 15 years old.

I got to take my DH out to dinner for his birthday (yesterday) and we're planning a tandem bike ride for tomorrow.

I went to Joanns and found good backing fabrics at $1.99 a yard today! (I'd like to do LQS shopping, but with DH out of work, compromises have to be made.)

I agree with chris_quilts about enjoying each day with your kitty - and would second that and say to also enjoy each day with your family and friends.

I wish you the best with your puppy. I lost my 10-1/2 year old rat terrier named Sparky on March 15. He had liver disease. I am soooo lonely without him. We picked up his ashes today, and I'm going to carve a box to encase the ashes. The box will have little dog bones all around the sides and his picture carved on the top with the birth and death dates inside the lid. Holding his ashes close to my heart made me smile.

The sun finally came out today & it's suppose to get 50 tomorrow! The only bad thing about that is that it will melt the snow faster & thus the river will rise faster.

Everyday that I wake up is a good day. LOL From there I just look for all of the good things that make me smile. Even doing the jobs around the house that I do not like doing...at least I can do it.

Yesterday, I finished a baby quilt for a friend and then my girls helped me wrap it up. Now to start and complete 2 more plus a wallhanging for friend that's moving.
