I sat down to drink my coffee this a.m. and instead of drinking it, I spilled it all over my laptop. How in the world could I go for long without checking the quiltboard to see what is happening. LOL...new member but so addicted. I got a new laptop and am ready to go !! Have a great day all!

Are you saying you went out and bought a new laptop, or that your laptop is new?...I have my computer by the dining room table so I leave liquids on the table.....don't want to take the chance!!! Hope your day gets better.....from a fellow addict!! :D

This quilting board will make us do strange things at times. Like check it out while coffee is making and every chance you get during the day and night. It is so addicting.....but so much information and fun to read... Sorry about the mishap but... you wanted a new one anyway. Glad it worked out.

Sounds like you survived and got a new toy to boot! I am longing for a laptop. I am temping right now but hoping to turn it into a permanent job. Then I can start saving for my laptop. My niece is a whiz at computers and has offered to go shopping with me!

Are you sure the coffee spill was an "accident"?? ;)
Glad you didn't have to wait for a new one! :)

If you are interested their is a warranty company out there cheaper than any thing you will find in the store. Recommended by CNet. I pay less than 50 per year,it won't cover your hardware crashes. but will cover any accident, they don't care, coffee spills, dropping, and even theft. I originally bought it because I traveled a lot with my computer. I recommeded it to my sister and her dog damaged hers twice, both times they could not repair her Dell and sent her a check big enough to cover a new computer. They also pay postage and send you the box to ship it to them in. The best investment she ever made. i thought they might right her off after the second pet accident, but they didn't and her premium didn't even go up. I have had it for about 8 years. Wouldn't be without it. I really like that it covers for loss or theft too.
