Thanks. It's been a rough year in some ways--unusual for me. The principal said this note should keep everything in perspective. He's right. Her mom had said to me weeks ago "I don't think you realize what you mean to her." Sometimes it's a little scary to mean that much to someone. I'd never want to let her down.

Watching my 2yo GD open her presents. It took her most of the day. She would open one, and play with it for a while then come back and get another one. I believe she still has one she hasn't open yet.
She got a vanity from Antie, with everything to go with it, including nail polish. We all got our nails polished (even daddy)before she opened another gift.

I actually have two that I have difficulty in selecting the "most thoughtful" ...
After working for weeks on 2 huge banners for our church to hang during the holiday season, they finally went up just 4 days before Christmas. Only a couple of us had seen them hanging there, and the next day they were such a surprise for our minister. Apparently she really loved them because she got me a beautiful Willow Tree angel to thank me for all the time I had invested in these banners.
But my second was something that was told to me following our Christmas Eve church service. My husband plays the piano there and I direct the Christmas Choir. Two of my three daughters sing and one of them has been studying voice at the local university, so for one song we switched and SHE directed while I sang. It was glorious and I loved seeing her education really mean something for her (besides performing ... she is a soprano with a beautiful voice). After service, a very important woman in our church came up to me and said that when she saw me sing while Rayechel was directing, it was as if I was 10 years old again and there was such joy on my face that it was infectious.
How can you not love things like that??? What a terrific Christmas we had!
