But, we have had four black Labs and I think they are the most wonderful animals!
Lab puppies, though, are a handful. They don't get civilized for about 2 1/2 years. I love them all the same.

I have a 3-year old yellow lab and she is such a good pet. Most people, including the vet, told us "if you can make it through the first 2-3 years, you'll have a wonderful pet." I hate to say it, but they were right. Oh, the funny stories I could tell. The book "Marley and Me" sums up life with a lab. Have fun!

What a little sweetie! Labs are the ultimate dog (as far as my DH and I are concerned0. We had a chocolate lab that lived for 12 years - passed away in 2001. We still miss her. My username (boscobd - Bosco Brown Dog) is in honor of her. Enjoy!!

my yellow lab "christmas" puppy is now 12 years old. he's a gem - if yours turns out to be the wrong size and you want to "return him", you just let me know :-)
