Cathy. why did you retire so soon...from where I am, you are a child. How lucky you are to enjoy so much and now have the time and energy, too!

Shopella, does the 18" outfits fit the American Girl dolls? If so, is there a relatively easy one I can make for my gd...or do you have a favorite you enjoyed making? Thanks

Some pictures of the kind of crochet I do.

Crochet edges onto machine embroidered baby wraps and old fashioned silk crochet hangers.

I do other crochet as well but never large projects.

More pictures of other hobbies: Glorex doll made from a kit, dress bodice was embroidered in the hoop, cut out and then assembled onto the gathered skirt.

Machine embroidered hangers, embroidered, then sewn together and assembled onto padded hanger.

Fabric hangers, top piece gathered onto botton, sewn together and assembled onto padded hanger.

I start with a raw wooden hanger and pad my own. The silk hangers have a lining cover of matching satin or taffeta.

    More Hobby Pics:

The small Christmas tree is decorated with hand sewn mini felt ornaments. the Tree angel is dressed in a hand sewn & beaded gown of felt. The Angel head is originally from a Christmas ornament and is approximately 60 years old.

I have machine embroided the designs for these ceramic ornaments onto organza and then glued the embroidery onto the shape.

I am a decorative artist who did a bit of sewing but now I'm a quilter who still teaches painting but mainly to finance buying fabric.

Here's some of my work. Excuse the flash reflection off the glass.
