What skill do you have that you never use, or never hope to use?

Not everyone is gifted with this ability to provide effective and loving care for the terminally ill or injured. Bless you for your commitment but I so hear you about not wanting to go through that again.

I cook well just don't enjoy doing it.....and, if an angel appeared and offered to do laundry, I'd fall at their feet in gratitude. That's not what your asking, I know, but I thought I'd squeeze in a gripe. LoL!
Suicide prevention is part of my job but I'd prefer never having to do this function, not because I don't want to do it but, that it would no longer be necessary. Big dreams.

Squid packing? I cleaned Geoducks for a season. Never again!
I have not had to use my first aid training, but am oh so glad to have it. I saved my son from choking when he was a toddler about 2 months after I took my infant and child first aid. We were in a remote location with no medical facilities nearby. I have used my first aid training a couple more times, but they were not life or death situations.

I lived on the coast of Central California when I was growing up. A small fishing town about 8 miles from where I lived, called Moss Landing had several canneries for various seafoods. I happen to work in a squid area, I remember it being cold damp and smelly. I was 16 with a 2 month old son and I needed a job. I worked part time and still went to school. It paid well, I was able to provide my son with everything he needed, helped my Dad with the rent.
