Default what stores recommended: Phoenix and Tucson

I'll be flying to Phoenix on Wed the 9th for a day and a half.
Then driving down to Tucson for the better part of a week,
returning to PHX on Tue the 15th and flying out thte 16th.

Any recommendations for good quilt stores to hit?
The only one I have listed as a MUST is 3 Dudes in PHX ...

    luv, Liz / Calgary

There is a store called Quiltz that I want to check out. I go to Chandler to visit kids and haven't managed to get there. I also want to check out the 3 dudes. The Gilbert Museum has a display and ladies in the back handquilting with a frame. I heard waiting time to get a quilt hand quilted is up to 2 years.

Bella Quilt Works and The Cactus Quilt Shop are both in Tucson and worth a visit! Nice friendly people at both. Bella has a large selection of batiks, orientals, patterns, lots of patterns. The Cactus Quilt Shop has a nice line of "local" themed material - Day of the Dead material, nice bright Spanish-flavored material. Have fun! Haven't been to 3 Dudes in Phoenix but have a friend who has - definitely go there!!! It's on my "to go" list the next time I'm in the area!

There are a couple of other quilt shops in SE AZ, if you get to either Benson or Sierra Vista.

The shop in Benson is really small. But if you get near Sierra Vista check out the Squirrel's Nest. Lots to see there. In Tucson is also Quilter's Market and Quilt Basket near each other on the east side. I love Quilter's Market. Be sure to check out the classroom. Lots of quilts on the walls. A colorful shop.

I haven't been to any stores in Tucson but in Phoenix have a few I really like. There is one not listed by others that I like and it's Zoe's Trunk in Chandler. At least get to 35th Sew & Vac as that is really a nice and larger one.
