How did I forget to mention the wind in my face???? My DH would love to drive with the windows down, but I'll get a migraine every time! And I live in the wrong place for this, but heat and humidity will cause me to get one too.

For other Relpax users: I just went to the Relpax website to print out a coupon before I get my Rx refilled. They now have a temporary card you print out so that you only have to pay $10. The actual card will come in the mail.

What is Maxalt? I have them very often and my meds are so very expensive.

Barometric pressure, broken sleep, and monthly hormone changes are a few of my triggers.

oooops, already been asked and answered. :-D

Another thing DH was put on Verapamil, a prescription blood pressure medicine and his migraines really slowed way down. It's probably not a bad idea to have your BP checked regularly if your number or intensity increases. And there are prescription migraine preventative meds if you get them on a regular basis that are worth looking into.

Alcohol, yeast, cigarette smoke, some chemical smells (like new carpet) and barometric changes - esp high. Weather is the only one I can't control LOL, so I don't drink or eat fresh bread. I take topomax & a mild anti-depressant and MigRelief, and I only get 3-5 per month - down from 12-13. They're worse when I'm in AZ - especially as the weather heats up just before we leave in April. The years when we stay there till the end of April or even May, I have 6-10 HAs. Some doctor recently published a paper saying weather does NOT cause migraines. HA! My neurologist just laughed. She wonders how he did his research.
Imitrex (now has a much less expensive generic - sumatriptan) usually gets rid of them within 30 min.

That's the same thing I use. It is wonderful, isn't it. I was getting them 3 or more times a week. Not any more. I also use Nortriptolyne at night. Haven't had a migraine in several years now. Good stuff.

I wish you luck with yours.
