Default what is this type of doily called?

I have been seeing these vintage doilies for years and don't know what they are called. They are not crocheted. The background seems to be woven or net, and the motifs stick up from the flat surface. I have looked all over the internet, driving me crazy. Thanks.

I found this too: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/80713018295378579/ or this: https://www.google.com/search?q=reti...zKSghlruSp88M:

Good thing I didn't know these existed, or I would have been doing them. (Quilting is enough for me right now.) One is called needle lace and one is called reticello embroidery. They almost look the same, but I think they are done with different techniques. Very pretty!

They kind of remind me of a variation of "Battenburg Lace".

After looking at even MORE pictures online, I think QuiltNan is right, it is filet lace. Unbelievable how much hand work is in some of these pieces.

it could be "needle lace". https://www.stephenlunnantiques.co.u...e-lace-collar/

don't know for sure--i hate that those beautiful arts are being lost through the years.
