This weekend will be very busy for us!

Saturday morning hubby will drop me off in the village so that I can go to the annual village Sidewalk Sale while he goes to the Farmer's Market to do our shopping. Hopefully I will find some good bargains!

Saturday afternoon I will be out buying materials for Sunday's Big Project, which is:

    Building our chicken coop!

We have 25 young chickens that I got as 1-day-old baby chicks 6 weeks ago. They've been living in a pen in our garage ever since, and now it's finally time for them to move outside! Some friends are coming out to our place to help us build a coop for them.

I hope the rain stays away for us!

    Jan

I'm stripping  Okay, okay, I'm stripping my porch furniture. I got my mom's old porch furniture and it's redwood that she painted over (and over and over). Then I get the "joy" of weeding my garden, cleaning my house, doing laundry and then if I have time ]I'll get to quilt :D[

Friday night I sewed until about 12:30am, only 6 more strips of completed blocks to sew together on another jelly roll quilt.

This morning, Saturday, I hope to finish it since it's only 6:00am now. I need to leave at noon to make a 45 minute drive to a vineyard and meet my daughter (her 28th b-day) and others to go wine tasting and then out to dinner. The place we are going was on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives on Food Network. It's supposed to be great but it's a little hole-in-the-wall and no reservations so we will be there when they open for dinner at 5pm.

After that I either drive home or go home with my daughter (which she wants me to do). No plans for Sunday except maybe get some new flowers for the front yard planter.

Well, me …..I will be doing laundry!
A week ago my dryer started making a squeaky noise. :?: DH pulled it out and was going to open it up and check it out. FORGET it!!!! :( :( Not hooking it back up!!!!!!!!! The back of it was brown looked like it had got way, way too HOT.  I had to wait until my daughter got home and had a neighbor to bring a dyer over here from her house and hook it up (she had an extra one that was given to her!!! ….she wanted to dump it as she already had one and I told her “No, that one may quit and you may need it….didn’t know it was going to be me!!!!! ) :?
So, there is all this laundry to do….Had a good excuse when the dryer wouldn’t work!  But, DH had put me a clothesline up when I was reading that thread! (had one years ago and missed it!! ) So I did a couple of loads and hung them out. Now to finish up all the rest of it!!!

Okay--I just typed this to Angie, so I'll copy it here!
This was today. Tomorrow I'm at my in-law's 50th wedding anniversay party, but I'll get lots done in the morning.

    Today:
chores (cleaning 5 stalls, getting horses fed and out. Refilling waters--hauled about 15 gals water this morning)

pulled pasture weeds (hands permanently stained now)

got hay down from upstairs in the barn

got the 40 gal water tub out back--got 4 hoses together and dragged out to fill it all.

Wound hoses back up--very tiring! One is heavy!

    updated grades in 4 subjects

and got them on report cards

    along with effort grades

    finished paperwork for horses

got the pics of Jazz for the paperwork--tied him, groomed him, and got them all by myself
    (still haven't printed them)

finished the paragraphs for students' gifts of writing for end of year stuff!!

transplanted a pansy hanging pot that was too full--now I have two

worked at getting Suzy to eat--she finally did. (she had a partially soft poop--maybe a tummy ache?)

got all the wash off the line--including Justin's 22 t-shirts--he washed and hung them yesterday.

Played with photos a lot--posted some.

Took Rosie for a walk to work on leading and turns and pivots, and worked foals on a halter/leading lesson.

    Whew!

I still have to make the bed. :?
