Sister city to Porta West Fallica in Germany. Small town, equal amounts of bars, banks and churches.

Tourism. Lakes, trees, festivals in a former lumbering town. We have a very large lake within the city limits and and an adjoining even larger one.

Well I don't really live in a city. It's just a small town. We used to be known for a curve on HWY 74 that was famous for causing big trucks to turn over and take out the traffic signs. There's still a bend in the road at that point, but the curve is much more gradual now. And big trucks don't tend to turn over on it nearly as much!

I am 1/2 between 2 small towns....the one that has my mailing address, Charlotte, has a festival every year called Frontier Days and is the county seat. The other is the "only Eaton Rapids on Earth." Meaning that most towns have 'sister' cities elsewhere but there is no other Eaton Rapids any where except here. It is also known as Island City because the entire downtown is an island due to the river splitting at the North end of town and coming back together at the South end.

Lots of civil war stuff, the Battle of Selma, the civil rights movement. Our bridge is the one where MLK started the march to Montgomery and where marchers were hosed and clubbed, etc. The beautiful Alabama river.

Ok I have only lived here going on 5 years but I would have to say:
    Shakespeare festival
    Hot Air balloon festival
    Brain Head Resort
    Summer Olympic Games
Sheep parade....yes its a big deal when the sheep are bought back down from the mountains, we have a parade & 100's of sheep run down main str. For a city girl this was a sight the 1st time I experienced it.
Utah is really a very beautiful state.

Mother's Day was founded here in on May 10, 1908; the city is the home to the International Mother's Day Shrine.

The first casualty of the civil war happened during a battle in this town and the soldier is buried in our National Cemetery here.

Our town was the home for Carr China and Hazel Atlas Glass Co.
