Default What is your favorite Christmas song and why?

I will start this out by saying my favorite Christmas song is "Thank God It's Christmas" by Queen. It has always reminded me that everyone can have a rough year, but for one night the world is perfect.

Mine is Silent Night. It lets me pause and remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Mine is The Little Drummer Boy sung by Bob Seger. He has such a soulful and expressive way of performing this song--never cared for it until I heard his version.

My favorite is "Oh Holy Night". It says what Christmas means to me.

Mine is O Holy Night because it talks about the perfect night when our Holy Savior was born.

favourite hymn is In the Bleak Midwinter, my Mum always used to sing this very loudly when we were growing up, and pop style is Driving Home for Christmas by Chris Rae, which is a bittersweet memory of collecting my daughter from a clinic for eating disorders, she was admitted christmas eve but the deal was she was allowed back home for christmas day (her request), but it was the start to her recovery.

Silent night is my favorite. Love little drummer boy because it is my moms favorite too. So many great songs.

Mine is "Joy to the World". "Let every heart prepare Him room, and heaven and nature sing!". To hear a large group sing that is just thrilling.

Contemporary - Winter's Knight by Nox Arcana

Traditional - Jouluyö, Johlayö is by far my favorite.

Most of what's on the radio however puts me in a decidedly unChristmas mood.

My favorite contemporary Christmas song is "Mary, Did You Know?"
Traditional - too many to list!
