What era? Haha... In my younger yearsI was a banker (one of those despised internal auditors at the end of my banking career), then a stay-at-home mom of one amazing son.

Now I work part time as an elementary school RSP (resource specialist) Instructional Aide (some call it Paraprofessional). Since I can only find part time work I also moonlight as a private tutor. Working with children is definitely more emotionally rewarding than the banking career was, but the pay stinks!!

Retired now, but was an Architectural Designer and college instructor. Never went to college, hired because of my professional experience.

It is so nice hearing some from everyone that has/will posted. It's so true that everyone has done things that no one else has, because even if it's the same occupation, no one does theirs like you. If you were/are a stay at home woman/mom like my mom was/is, you have been a woman of all trades, and then some. You also may or may not have gained monetary rewards as a stay at home person, but I see looking back when raising my son at home that my rewards have been greater than anything else I have ever done.
