Retired as of 2008 due to injury at the job and no desk job to be had to recovery from injury. Started out as a secretary/bookkeeper at a golf course owned by the City of Orlando, FL, moved up to Asst. Supervisor for the City's Parking Dept (parking lots and garages), moved over to the Police Dept as a CSI for the last 19 years of a 26.5 yr span. Sure glad I wasn't working there during the massacre that recently happened. I did know all but one cop involved at the shooting as he started in 2014 and I've been up here in Iowa since 2010.

I'm a retired special education teacher. I taught in a center-based school for an Intermediate School District. Our students came from public schools from several counties. The students were classified as severely emotionally impaired with severe behavior problems. Their intellect ranged from mildly mentally handicapped to gifted. We also included programs for Autistic students. Ages ranged from preschool through 26. It was a rewarding profession while being a challenging one.

Worked in the office at a few auto dealerships. Then accidently was hired as a secretary for an Arc, for developmental disabilities. Found my happy place! I retired there after 38 years as Assistant to the Director.

I retired in August 2016 after 35 years with the Department of Defense as a Human Resources Specialist, first for hiring then the last 18 years in training. I managed a large leader development program and taught leadership courses. It was a nice career but 35 years of government bureaucracy is enough.
