Am retired as of 2008 but when I moved to Orlando, FL back in 1981 I started out as a secretary for the city's golf course, moved up to an Asst. Supervisor for their Parking Dept and finished out my last 19 years as a CSI for their police dept.

Just read this morning where one of our finest in Orlando was killed in the line of duty. What's this world coming to???? So glad I moved to a small town in Iowa was folks wave to each other even if they don't know you.

I retired 1-1-16. I designed and manufactured children's heirloom clothing for high-end children's boutiques for 37 years. It was 11 months before I knew I was really retired. I even forgot that I had joined the Quilting Board. Last year I quilted 2 baby quilts for donation. Knitted 8 baby blankets, crocheted 195 beanies for our Thanksgiving food pantry boxes. During Dec., I finally settled down and enjoyed Christmas without all the chaos. Has anyone else taken so long to realize they didn't have to work and be busy all the time?

I am retired. Was a Medical Social Worker with a speciality in Mental Health and Aging. I was also a certified Activity Therapist. I have been retired now for 29 years. Quilting has been a major pass time as well as paper crafting of just about any kind.

I am employed. Admin assistant. Sewing has been a good therapy tool for me, peace of mind! I still have a few years before I can retire. I don't know really what I'd do if I did retire. I've been so use to working since I was 13 years old.

Retired Systems Analyst. Loved the job, hated how much of it I had to do to keep my job and reputation. 60 - 80 hour weeks killed the enthusiasm. I have a long arm but will Not quilt for money as that makes it a job, and I don't want to work (like that) again.
