We will (weather permitting) have family and friends over for a cookout in the evening and probably make homemade ice cream. Then we will watch fireworks from our front yard. The community fireworks display is put on at the HS football field which is just a half-mile from us. We have the perfect place to view! We have been here 30 years and have never had them rained out.

Here is a link for different fireworks displays. Seaport Village is a real good spot. There are cute little shops there to see before nightfall.

We are going down on the square to shop around as usual. Granbury is an Historical town and we get everyone from everywhere coming in for the parade, booths, games, etc. My DH and I had our first date on July 4th in 1995 so we like to go and hang out. LOL. Also got married in the Courthouse. Lots of fun memories. Our DIL paints her Big STD poodle, Skylar, with red white and blue, and lots of RWB ribbons. People always stop to see her. Then go sit at the lake and watch the fireworks. My Middle DD lives on the lake so we can sit on the balcony and watch. Sometimes, the younger kids go out in the boat and watch on the lake. We just play it by ear. Happy fourth everyone.

I'm marching in a parade on the third, and I'll probably spend the 4th with my bf.

Yeah, I get a 4 day weekend! Haveoff Fiday, Sat. Sun and Monday, cant wait! BF and I volunteer to drive in the parade on the 4th every year....last year he drove a 1908 car, and I tossed out candy. It was so fun! We are invited to my Brothers cookout and Robs Moms, so we have to stop fora bit at both. Hoping to do LOTS of quilting!
