Working on my 50th birthday quilt....11 months to get it finished....it's a scrappy batiks Night and Day using Eleanor Burns' book. And saying goodbye to my daughter and family who have lived two hours away by car but will now be 4 hours away by plane. :(

/OUr town has the annual Peach Festival so it is very crazy here. If you want to go anywhere it takes forever. You are better off leaving for the weekend or don't drive. There are lots of activities. The carnival rides, 2 Peach parades, craft shows, food, more craft shows, more food. Lots of fun when the kids were little. Now we just people watch. So I hope to get some sewing done.

I plan to visit Joann's for the labor day sale to pick up some items for my quilt I have been planning for a bit. We have a birthday dinner for a relative, grocery shopping, and probably a barbeque for Labor Day.

At the risk of having my fellow board members throw pins and rotary cutters and anything else they can find at me, I am actually happy to see our weekend forecast here is calling for all day rain Saturday and most of Sunday. Just found out out-of-town guests will not be coming, I won't feel obligated to do outdoor chores. So, I can just sit and sew. And, watch an NCIS or L and O marathon or three!! And, last but not least, a favorite LQS is having their anniversary sale this weekend, so I just have to go to that.

Hope all have fun in whatever they'll be doing. Stay safe!!

I will be at our annual quilt show on Saturday. The Pine Needlers of Overgaard, AZ will be showing beautiful quilts on Saturday Sept 3 from 9am - 4pm so if you are in the White Mountains of AZ stop by and see all the wonderful quilts. We also have a boutique where you can purchase items.

Everyone have a safe holiday weekend.
