At this moment, none other than tending the smoker and a pork butt all day.

I'll be in NC all weekend, won't make it home this time. Just me and the boy. We're going to Raleigh to a place called Garnet Hill where we can chip garnets right out of the rock. Should be fun. Might hit one of the memorial services. I'm sure there will be one around here.

It's interesting to read what everyone is doing for this holiday.

A great weekend for DH and me! I got to meet and hold my new nephew for the first time. We're spending the weekend with my family in Philadelphia, and for some reason we both sleep so well at my parents house. DH is still asleep now.

Tomorrow, we're going to a local parade and Memorial Day ceremony at a park. I also have an out-of-state cousin who is visiting, so that means a cook-out at Grandmas! We'll come home tired, but with lots of great memories.

Still recovering from food poisoning. Going on my 3rd day and starting to feel better. I have a massive headache, still nauseous and my muscles hurt. I am keeping down what little I am able to drink. I ate a few crackers this morning and some jello.

    Now back to the couch.

We did that last year, digging geodes in Central Oregon. It was hot and miserable but we had a great time. We are going to try and do it again this summer only this time come more prepared. This time we are taking a easy up for shelter from the sun, if we ever get any sun here in Oregon this year.

Making an extra $200 isn't bad. A few years ago, I opted to work Christmas Day; making double time was nice. I enjoyed my dinner a little later than usual, lol.

No plans for Memorial Day, just what ever comes my way. Our big cookout will be next weekend for MIL's 91st birthday, here at our house, so I will be cleaning, mowing, etc. this week.

Have a good holiday and be safe!!
