Fun reading all these posts. What a bunch of picky people! LOL! I'm teasing. I applaud everyone for at least trying some of these dishes. You know the first person to pop a raw oyster in their mouth had to be daring! Or really hungry. Oysters are not a pretty food. Raw chicken is pretty gross too, but most of us can stomach chicken down.

Keep trying new things and old things. You never know when your taste buds will change. Being open minded is such a wonderful trait.

Marmite. Totally gross. We were visiting some friends in England and they had a get-together with crumpets & tea.... I was encouraged to try the marmite, which I assumed was like jam. So I put it on like jam. They all had a good laugh when they saw my face - the host even came running with a paper towel so I could spit it out!

have you ever had a 'shake' at a white castle? i swear they're a petroleum product. you can shape it into a ball and it keeps that shape. it barely comes up through the straw unless you let it melt. if you stand the straw up straight, it will stay that way until next thursday.

Um. Cuttlefish. It turned to a creamy goo when you tried to chew it. Yuck! My husband had some Uni (sea urchin) at a sushi resturant in Florida and said it tasted like a dirty diaper! My boss in Seattle at the sushi place where I worked talked him into trying it again. He said it must be VERY fresh. We tasted it and it was sweet! But I won't try it anywere else.

Blood Pudding! It wasn't really nasty tasting or anything. I just didn't know what it was at the time. I thought it was patty sausage and found out later it was fried blood with spices that made it taste just like sausage. It's just the thought! I don't like liver either!
