If you fry the scrapple then put maple syrup on it. Very good!
I think it must be an acquired taste...I just couldn't handle it. I had syrup with the pancakes I had ordered, didn't help. Nor did juice or water. I bought some gum and that was better, but the taste had to wear off through the morning. My toothbrush was packed.

When I ordered it, I thought it was a type of sausage. Now that I know what it is, I know I probably wouldn't have gotten it in the first place. Anyway, it gave DH a good laugh and was a vacation memory he'll always treasure.

Real Mince Meat Pie. Mom used to cook hog heads, pick the meat off, add spices, nuts, raisins, etc. and then cook it into a pie. GAG!!! I also refuse to eat guts: heart, brains, liver, chitlins, but I love Mountain Oysters.

At Christmas dinner ther was a beautiful jello mold on the table at my MILs. I helped myself to a large scoop only to be horrified! It was red cherry jello with beet cubes, the seeds they put in rye bread (I don't know the name of them) and horseradish floating all through it!

Green beans. My mom made me eat them while I was recovering from a stomach virus. I was 7-8 years old at the time. You can guess what happened...

A crab dip that a friend brought over for a brunch. I had some later & got food poisoning off it. Haven't been able to eat that stuff since.

I must say that reading this thread has really put a damper on my appetite. I haven't had breakfast yet and may not. The old stomach is feeling pretty queazy right about now.

The worst thing I ever ate was kidney. My Mother made it once and I tasted it. The aftertaste stayed with me all day. Yuk!!!

When I was young, my aunt, would make a salmon loaf, instead of meatloaf. I still cringe when I think about it! Liver is another food I don't like.

My mom use to eat Pickled Pigs Feet, and I never tried it, but I know I would have hated it !!!!!!

I refuse to eat anything that was used as a filtration or digestive organ in another creature.

The worst thing I have ever eaten was I was in Italy on my honeymoon with MR Wrong who insisted on doing the ordering since his command of Italian was better than mine. I ended up with an appetizer with I swear they were baby octopi.
