Lutefisk. I only had it once when we got snowbound at DH's aunt's house and were invited to another uncle's home for Christmas eve dinner. His wife was Norwegian and it was a traditional holiday meal for them. Think fish jello. There's even a song someone wrote about it:

Having a hard time thinking of the worst thing I've ever eaten. Maybe raw oysters - so slimy going down. I'm really picky about eating fish - I really love it but had a fish bone stuck in my throat years ago so I only eat flounder, shrimp and canned tuna nowadays. May in Jersey

I had a bad mussel once as a kid. Liked them before that, now I can't even look at them.

Okra- slimy nasty sticky. Reminds me of that green slime on ghostbusters. ewwwww.

My personal demon is tomato soup. I refused to eat it once as a child and my mother poured it down my shirt. I can't be in the same room with it now. And I love all other tomato based foods, raw or cooked.

Oh, goodness, I'll have to answer this one later. Too early in the morning to think about it now. Eek!

I like most food. I loved all kinds of fish at one time but became allergic to all seafood. The worst thing I ever eat was my aunts lasagna. It looked like barf on a plate and smelled worse. Oh her meatloaf was even worse I never had it but it was told to me by my cousins. My aunts wasn't a very good cook but the funny thing was she thought she was a gourmet chef.
