Another good one - on days when you're really full of yoursel - "admiration by your dog is not necessarily proof that you are a good person" I think this is from Ann Landers

    Kill them with kindness.

That is my motto for dealing with unfriendly people. It stumps them when you are nice to them.

    I have a few,

"if a job is worth doing, it's worth doing well!" that one was in response to finding my kids had put the dirty dishes in the cupboards instead of washing them.

"there are consequences to our actions, and at some time we all have to face those consequences." This one preceded me doling out punishments/grounding when the kids got caught! lol

and my all time favorite when I thought I'd seen/heard everything...

"Well butter my butt and call me a biscuit!"

    :)

A saying I have heard from my grandfather a million times!

    "Time will pass, will you?"

He heard that from a teacher he had in high school. The teacher said it so much to his students that he had a plaque made to go above the clock in the classroom.

Life is short, eat dessert first....no idea who first said it.

May you stay forever young. That's from a Bob Dylan song (I think)
