when I have forgotten something or messed up I am often heard to say....I had a stroke you know!....although it's true, it is meant in a lighthearted way.
Another one that I say alot especially to my kids....I am always right, even when I am wrong I am still kinda right!
    My favourite quote is
An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind _Gahndie

You are a more patient women that I if your response to dirty dishes in the cabinet was that calm!!!

Oh they not only had to wash the dirty dishes, they had to wash EVERY dish/glass/mug in every cupboard!! ;)

    I don't get mad....I get even! lol
That was moms answer too, if you don't like to do the few dirty ones, do you want to wash ALL the dishes in the cupboards?

Blessed are they that can laugh at themselves,
For they shall never cease to be amused :XD:

    I'm a "quote-aholic"...Love the darned things!

People will not look forward to posterity who never look backward to their ancestors" ~Burke~

Love is not blind. It sees more and not less, but because it sees more it is willing to see less. ~Will Moss~

When she'd see young lovers kissing or groping each other in public, my mama would sarcastically say, "Ain't love grand?" and I can still hear her voice saying "Pretty is as pretty does"

My daddy had some more...uhmmm...crude ones that I won't repeat here, but some of them still make me smile to think about. ;)

The one that I keep telling myself lately when things aren't going the way I'd like for them to, "Who's going to give a damn 20 years from now?"

    There's also the prayer:

    Dear Lord,
I pray for Wisdom to understand my man
    Love to forgive him
    And Patience for his moods
Because Lord, if I pray for strength, I'll beat
    him to death.

I have a couple of things I say too:
Just because I have pain, doesn't mean I need to be one...
Look for the "silver lining" in all things, even tragedies...
What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger...
