If it's for a church service I love We Three Kings. If it's on the radio, it's Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy by David Bowie and Bing Crosby.

Silent Night. You know my husband was forced into retirement due to 3rd open heart surgery last year. We were sitting in our new church as members, during Christmas Eve services and my husband leaned over and whispered: "It looks prettier from up at the altar". I felt so sorry for him. It has been a long year, but we are together and slowly he is mending.. But Silent Night, especially when they sing a verse in German is so good to hear...Blessings to you all.

Oh, I love it in German too! When I was a child, the little Lutheran church that I belonged to used to do one Christmas-season service a year in German - or at least the songs were in German - to please the old German members who founded the congregation way back when. I still remember a couple of those songs, though I don't expect to ever hear them again.

I have no favorites. I love them all. They all give me shivers when I hear them.
