    Anything picked right off the tree is best! If I could only have one, it would be an Ida Red. Love those crisp, sweet, tart, juicy apples!

    Arkansas black apple - it's very crisp and not really black, just a deep dark red.

    Honeycrisp and Braeburns.
    Just made a batch of homemade applesauce with fresh MacIntosh today. They are a little tart for my tastebuds eating raw.

    I discovered Pacific Rose apples at Whole Foods a few years ago and became addicted to them, but I haven't been able to find them for a long time. They were really good eating apples.
