On discussion threads, I read everything already posted before I decide to say something...and I use the advanced format with preview so I know if something has been added while I was writing. I also listen to a conversation for awhile before I open my mouth...especially if I wasn't in the room when it started. I'd much rather have all the available info before adding my two cents on a subject.

Many times I just read the posts and never say anything.. but if something strikes my fancy I will comment after I have read the threads.

I'll only comment after reading all the posts if I have something new or different to add. And I don't bother if there's 5 or more pages. As someone here put it, so many times it's all transmission, no reception.
