    Beautiful work, John. My DH John is a wood guy too. We really appreciate and collect nice wood furniture pieces. Your original design is slightly Mission style, in my opinion, and I like it a lot!!

    Actually number one is patterned after a Shaker table in one of the Restored Shaker places in New Hampshire that we visited. I think of the others as somewhat Mission style, with the exception they probably should be Oak for mission style.

    Your Maple one really catches my eye. It looks like the front is made from curly maple. Pretty.

    Have you ever been called "Norm" as in the wood guy on This Old House? Your work reminds me of some of the things he has built after measuring the originals at a museum or such.

    I have been called everything but "Normal". That is about as close as it gets.
