    Great furniture!

I took woodworking for two years while I was at a private school. They actually offered it to both boys and girls. I made a guitar each year. It was fun.

Love your woodworking....Can almost smell the shavings and oils used in finishing; almost feel the texture of smooth sanded wood; feel the sturdiness of well made furniture....

Me too! Must be a Iowa thing! Actually, my living room & kitchen floors and 2 of my stairways are hickory too!
    Sewing room is oak parkay.
    Love your woodworking John!

Add me to your list of fans, John. My husband made some neat stuff including a nice vanity dresser and headboard for my room, and a dresser/chest of drawers for his room. Several bookshelves, and my computer station (long double-station for computers) with pull out keyboard shelves, and drawers for storage. He also built a nice sewing chest of drawers with a pull out cutting board. I keep him happy by making cornbread, biscuits, and an occasional pie. We have been married almost sixty years. :)
