    That's what our Aldi's does...cost a quarter to use the cart and you get it back when you return cart

    ABSOLUTELY, I find it the height of laziness for those who leave their shopping cart in the parking lot, especially when there are cart corrals! I think that All shopping carts should be tethered together with chain, and you should have to pay a quarter to use them, and have your quarter refunded when you park your cart! It is frustrating when you go to pull into a parking spot with a rather large truck only to find a cart there because someone is too lazy to put it away!

    In turn, my question is why would you not put your cart away?

    Nearly always and ever time I go shopping I bring a cart back in the store with me.

    ok, i did not read all pages of responses, but seems the overwhelming response is yes. so........ if we all return our carts, who are those people leaving them in the parking spaces? must be non-quilters. she says with a smile.
