I return them- as for taking away a job - Not sure I want food prices to go up any higher just because they need to hire someone to return a cart.. I remember when Aldi's had the quarter return.. you had to pay the quarter to use the cart but you got it back when you returned it the cart return corral..

....if someone borrowed a power tool from your hubby do you want them to bring it back or should you have to go get it back from the one who borrowed it.. Just something to think about..

If we all returned our carts, then perhaps the prices of groceries would not increase in order to pay someones wages. ;)

Oh yes, I've seen too many carts go crashing into cars. If there isbn't a cart return I make sure I put it in an area where it won't roll.

I put them in the cart return area. We have to pay a quarter to even use a cart. I only left the cart twice. They both involved my DD becoming ill in thunder and heavy rain.

I normally do - however, last year I had two major foot surgeries and used handicap parking spaces. I was surprised that at our local grocery stores, there is no cart return remotely close to handicap parking! Walking was difficult, slow and often painful - so I would leave my cart. I did write store management - as it sort of defeats the purpose of handicap parking in the first place!
