Heh! It's all good! I don't object to being called "Baby", I have been all of my life as the youngest of 5 kids. Dictionary has many definitions of the word, and to me, it's just a term of affection. Too easy to get technical...and btw, I just looked it up, animals are included in the definition! ;)

The "term of endearment" that I object to would be "Doll". I don't usually let anyone get away with calling me that, and inform them that a "doll is an empty headed plaything"...

I'm close to 50 and my oldest brother still calls me his baby sister. I can't help it he's 20 years older then me.
My baby nephew is 37. He finally told me to stop calling him that.

Cats and dogs are family. Mom alays has a fit when I talk about my cat sleeping with me, to her pets belong outside and not in the house for any reason. So there are many ways of thinking. My house, my rules-my baby is my cat.

I always think-' I'm glad its not me" for human babies and I always want to adopt the fur babies . I have a 37y/o son he was lovingly referred to as BoyChild cause we always had so many critter babies -We took in some of the over-flow for the Humane Society.. The org. was called Sav-A-Pet and we usually got the pregnant ones. And as hard as it was for us to part with them-because they were my sons Babies-they All found good loving homes..

I agree totally. My cats are my children. I wasn't blessed to bear children so TC and Benny are their replacements. I don't have to worry about bad behavior when visitors come around. They don't have "smart" mouths and are not disrespectful. Both are rescued from people that don't give a crap about animals.

but you know what? Isn't wonderful that we live in the greatest country in the world? We are able to voice our opinions!!!! God Bless America and the individuals in the military!!!!!

EXACTLY!!! Babies are human and dogs/cats are animals that act like babies sometimes; however, they are not human. Thank you. GG
