I go to ebay for my Rockie jeans. They don't make them like in the 80's-90's anymore and I can usually find them brand new.
I don't like the low hip stuff, nor the see the butt crack/thong thingie.
Also don't care for the low pockets styles on jeans they make today. Explain to me how anything stays in them???

JCP...St.John's Bay jeans fit great!!! I usually wait until they are on sale, then buy a couple of different colours. As someone earlier mentioned, with the coloured ones, I can wear them to work. Also, they come in "tall" so I can actually get them long enough that I don't feel like I am wearing capris.

My mom likes the way Calvin Kleins fit her.

Being "fluffy," I can appreciate your quest. I found a couple of brands at JC Penney. Stumbled upon them.

I was at Costco yesterday and they have Amanda jeans. Got a pair and when I was undoing the button and zipper to try them on, the button came off. Now I have to return them to know if Im going to like them. $16.99. Is that a good price?

I have always relied on Lee jeans. Fit me well so I stay with them. I have purchased some Gloria Vanderbilt jeans there also and am happy with them.
Get them at Kohl's when on sale and use their coupons they distribute.

I'd say $16.99 is an excellent price! I paid $27.99 for mine, and that was the sale price. The original price was $39.99.

I first heard about the Amanda jeans from this thread. I wore Gloria Vanderbilt jeans years ago and nothing has ever fit as well, so I went to Sears and tried some on. Of course, they're the wretched stretch material I so hate, but I need jeans and can't find all-cotton denim, so I bought them. They have the same great fit as the ones from years ago (and also the same problem of wayyyyy too much blue dye).

So, thank you, ladies, for clueing me in to the Amanda jeans! At least I have something to wear until I get myself to lose enough weight to fit into my old all-cotton jeans or until I get that sewing maching and learn how to sew jeans.
