I got rid of my HP because of the cost of replacing ink cartridges. Loved the prints but price was ridiculous.
I purchased a Kodak printer and love it. I have used it for pictures, ordinary printing and printing on fabric, all successfully. The cost to replace both color and blk cartridges is far less than HP. I can buy them on line or at Walmart.

Staples and pay allot for the combo 45.00...Thinking of getting the New Kodak printer because their ink cartridges are so cheap...worth the investment in a new printer...Walmart had it for 50.00...

ink is expensive, but I am not about to screw up my printer to save a dollar. I tried refills once and off brands twice, didn't work for me. So I just set my printer on draft mode and black ink and chg it if I want color ink and photo quality, otherwise I just go to draft and reap the savings best I can. At least with office depot you do get rewards back. Sams is usually cheaper but I don't have a memebership anymore and not paying for one.

I buy for my brother MFC at 4inks.com or 123 inks. I just got 4 black and 2 of each color for a total shipping and all just over 40 dollars. I have used this ink several times and have never had a problem with it.

I buy the HP XL (600 pages) at Staples. I learned my lesson on buying "generic" ink cartridges when after installing them, my new $200 printer was ruined. The off brand cartridges knocked the printer alignment off and I never was able to correct it. Lesson learned. Name brand only for the specific model of printer for me now! No "refills" ...no, not taking a chance!

When I rarely get to Staples, I buy the XL's for mine. All I can get locally are the little ones and they run out so fast. It costs me around $80 for one black and one tri-color. Sinful!

I get mine from the HP store. Go to hp.com and you should be able to find what you need.

I also have a HP printer. We have a Staples Office Supply store in Prescott, about 20 miles from me. Staples has a rebate program where I can return the empty cartridges and get a $3.00 credit. When I'm ready to purchase more cartridges, I go online and print off my rebate and take that to the store to buy more. Their price (without the rebate) is the same as Walmart.
