We live in the country and are on a community well. It is extremely soft and does not make good coffee or tea. We put a reverse osmosis system in the house and I use that filtered water for cooking, coffee and tea. The icemaker has a filter on it. It is a lot kinder to our skin and we use very little soap, shampoo and detergent as it suds up like crazy.

Well first off Mimito lol you would not catch me in water in the South states. lol. I've lived South and did lots of fishing. haha I also carried a finger nail clipper in case I did not like the looks of what dangled at other end. I will say this about water. I live in Nevada and where I now live the water upset my stomach, I use nothing but bottled water now. The dentist gave me special paste for my teeth. Spring waer is good as long as everything is filtered. yuk to me if not :) have a great dy and you did a great job fixing your water lol....

How can rain water be clean? Will all that is in the air. I know many years ago people drank lots of rain water. I've been told we shouldn't now. Has any one else heart this?

From the Sierra Nevada. Of course, it's city water, but that's where it originates. It's interesting to think of these things. Also, where does the waste go?

I have a private well dug in 1975 it is 194 ft deep. The old well was very good water. We did not hit the same 'vein' so not quite as good. I filter my water but it needs to be replaced. Considering putting in a whole house filter. I have a water softener also.
Use Miracle II products. Have a laundry ball so don't need to buy laundry powder. Saves lots of money. Also use a new product that puts more oxygen in my water.

Live in small town in country so have well water. Tastes great but have to be carefull in summer 'cause it ran dry a few times. In winter we deal with frozen pipes. I still love the taste and wouldn't give up living here for all the money in the world.
