My sewing room has been converted to a dorm room. Kids and grandkids are coming today and staying through the weekend. I've been busy cleaning and cooking to get ready for the 14 additional people that will start arriving today.

I'm taking care of my DGD and working on hand quilting my GFG. So nice and relaxing.

My kid' s just go off late yesterday. I have had a house full for a week and could not find much time for myself. I miss them but I can now find some time for myself.

It has been very chaotic for us since before thanksgiving. Now I am on the couch watching Christmas movies and thinking about my current project.

I just finished the last of the 13 blocks for the fabshophop Chocolate Sampler quilt. Now I've got to start the 12 filler blocks and hope to have them done by tomorrow. THEN I'm going to clean my sewing room!

As for me... I'm working on trying to improve our shop's website.

Since December is always a slow time for fabric sales, it's R&D time... about the only time in the year when I get to sit down, consider what may have changed over the last 12 months, and try to innovate and just generally "make things better".

So if anyone has any suggestions on what I could improve, I'd be glad to hear them!

I have been sick with cold and now Broncitis and sinus infection since last Friday and could not get into the Doctor until yesterday. I do want to sew but can't get better. It is boring. Happy New Year to all!

I started reorganizing my sewing room last year. Stopped to do heavy sewing in the fall. Now, I have to get back to the reorganizing. (By Christmas Day, I couldn't even walk to my sewing machine!)

I feel much like angelahen. Our family is so large & continuously growing, that even my DH is already getting ideas to start for next year. We have our 3 kids, 16 grands, 8 great grands & 3 more on the way, two of which are identical twins! I'm totally pooped!! Glad they all liked everything, but I needed a break! I too am trying to figure out what I'm going to make for next Christmas as I have to start soon!
