I can hear thunder and see the clouds but it's staying to the east of us. Please Lord bring the rain?

Wow, you guys must be stealing all the heat. Here in CA. a bit south of Sacramento, we've had one of the coolest summers I can remember!

Just trying to deal with the 102 degree heat here. I did discover the joy of fruit smoothies. I'm starting to use those for dinner instead of cooking. :)

Well it's 90 here in Longwood florida. We are about 50 miles from the ocean and there is a little breeze blowing and it' not bad in my shaded yard, especially when I let the dogs out. We don't stay out too long and I only go out went I have to lol.

I don't mind the heat as long as I can stay cool in the house and car. I dont' like winter and the cold.

We were above 100 by noon today. I quit looking after that. Oh well, I wanted "dried" basil anyway.

It was 109 degrees on my way home down the interstate yesterday per my car's thermometer. Today was a bit cooler, it was only 108 degrees. Heat indexes are about 115 or so. Basically, you just drive as fast as you can from point A to point B, no lollygagging in between.

I keep prayin' (and I mean prayin') for a cold snap! I tease my elderly parishoners and say, "You go to Florida for THIS?"

Man, here I have been griping that it hasn't been warm enough. I still think that, my thermometer hasn't even hit 90 this summer. I guess that is one of the benefits to living so close to Lake MI, although it sure makes for a lot of snow in the winter! I think right now it is only 80 out side. Time to drag the hubby out for a walk! Stay cool everyone!
