I now have a sewing room which I think I will not have in my next place, so me too will be sewing in the bedroom. I have had my sewing room everywhere except the kitchen. As long as I am sewing I am happy even if I have to do it on the porch, which I did while living in Puerto Rico. My grandmother had an enclosed porch where she kept her machine and that's where I learned to sew.

I have a sewing machine or two in every room in the house(including the hallway) except for the bathrooms and the kitchen.

Hell I even have a complete Model A Ford in my attic!!
You should have seen the look on my wifes face when she saw that one!!!!

Then I have my studio in my back yard that has 5 or 6 that I can use in my quilting table. All but one is treadle operated.

How about having a bed in your sewing room? My husband grew up in a household where both parents ran a tailoring company. They had about ten machines running all day. I asked him if the sound of a sewing machine relaxes him or frightens him- he just laughed. So I try to sew away from where he's sleeping, just in case!

When all my kids moved home I moved into the smallest bedroom in the house. There's not room there for my sewing machine so I have a corner of the dining room. Most of my stash is in my bedroom closet though. Who needs to hang up their clothes.

If my machine was in my bedroom, hubby would either get NO sleep or he'd be sleeping on the couch lol

Since the kids have flown the coop, we have spare rooms and the one bedroom has all my sewing stuff there. I can leave it set up and ready to go at any time of the day. Like when my husband is snoring and I can't get to sleep. You'd think after 38 years I'd be used to it! Now that sewing room is also a guest room so I do have to redd up sometimes, like in a couple weeks. Even though hubby is snoring like crazy, he could not sleep if I were sewing or computering in the samw room.
