Baron is usually spralled in the middle of the floor (trip hazard) while I sew or iron.
He likes to make a nest in the quilts I have around the house.

When my children were little, they were under my feet, beside me, or in my lap. Boy, I sure miss that! Now, my sewing companion is either CD's playing a man reading the Bible or my favorite country music station. What a combination, depends on my mood. Sometimes, I even listen to classical music. Go figure. Silvia

You quilters with pets amaze me! Your helpers and inspectors are always right there. How do you get things done without injuring one of them or messing up a seam? I would think the cats could be the biggest challenge because they chase things that move.
I have had pets as visitors but never as constant live-in companions.
This is my newest helper. She is just learning to crawl and found her way to my quilt books. Some day I will teach her a thing or two about quilting.

Smoky thinks she is helping by holding the hoop down. Molly has done this too. They make my life a little adventure.

I posted this a few weeks ago. Its the quilt my nephew helped design . His name is Matt so he like the "M" Monster Drink logo.
His girlfriend like the Notical Star. When I got the top done I sent him this picture. The Black Lab I was babysitting and the Dobies are my quilt testers. I like it when I see fabric for sale saying pet free home. I think what in the world would I put.
Fabric covered in dog hair? If I'm going to be in the sewing room for awhile I poor out my scraps they fluff it up and go to sleep on it. I'll have to find that picture. My brother got me a sign that says "cook not responsible for pet hair in food" Ha.
I do keep my house clean but its hard to eliminate all the dog hair.
