When I was in a warmer climate I had a huge garden and did a lot of canning and freezing - it is so rewarding.

Been doing it for years and love it. I don't can and freeze as much as I did with family at home, but I still keep doing it.

I can grow snow peas and radishes like nobodys business. I am new to growing green onions. I planted 15 green onion bulbs and I have stems growing on 5 as of today. I am trying the Topsy Turvy Planters for Toms, pickling cukes, and green bell peppers. I am new to green peppers, cukes and green onions. My pickling cukes already died. Something is eating my pepper leaves. I am going to try weak-tea-water to keep the pests off. (Jerry baker recipe.) I LOVE GARDENING. IT IS VERY RELAXING. Everything listed is a container garden. I do not have the space for a garden the size that I would like. I have done gardening in containers before. I also grow some herbs from seeds, in my greenhouse. I think I have to buy a grow lite. I will try to post some pics of "my heaven."

My gardening has increased in proportion to the global economic crisis :)

I have a quarter acre section. My vegetable garden is a modest size, and is fenced to keep the critters out. The critters I have to contend with are my boys - 2 large dogs :)

In addition to vegetables I grow; apples (3 varieties grafted onto 1 tree), peaches, plums, oranges, lemons, mandarins, tangerines, rhubarb, passionfruit, strawberries, blackberries, boysenberries, orangeberries and grapes. Oh and herbs :)

I enjoy picking and serving my own produce. I plan to continue growing fruit and vegetables for as long as I am able. The flavor and variety is just something you can't get at the supermarket.

The almanac and the Extension Center say that I need to wait until May to set out my tomatoes. And I guess I'll have to listen since the nursey where I get my plants doesn't open until next week. But it's 90 degrees here today! Really makes me want to play in the dirt.

I love to garden, I take classes in the winter planting my seeds in the green house getting everything ready to plant in the spring. I have tomato plants that are blooming now.

We have a lovely big vegetable garden and are establishing a good sized orchard (22 fruit trees so far with a few more on my list yet)

Can't beat fresh from the garden. I also can
