You know I was searching for an older thread when I stumble onto this one, very good and interesting thread. This how you get to know your neighbors. My choice of avatar picture was also a quick choice, because I could not find the one I really wanted at the time. Well, the pic is of my four oldest Gkids, Brandey, Arias, Cameron, Candyze. Cameron and Candyze are siblings that I and my late DH raised. Brandey and Arias are siblings that came along for the ride until their DM finished med school. Then SHE handle four teenagers and Residency in North Carolina. Then they return to Kansas and they all have finished high school. Brandey is married, Cameron is learning independant living, Candyze is in third year college, Arias is in second year college.

Mine is a pic of our beloved friend Melvin. He was 12 when he lost a life-long battle with extreme allergies. He was a rescue baby and we miss him everyday, even though we have since rescued a 10# poodle we named LuCee.

This is a pic of our sweet Molly Mae, who we lost in April after 14 years of unconditional love and fun. Still too soon to think of another furbaby. Maybe someday as there sure is a void in our house.

My avatar is a picture of my great-granddaughter Emma when she was three. I snapped her opening a Christmas gift. You can't see the long eyelashes, but they're there. She is now almost 7 (Nov. 24) and in the first grade. She loves to read and she loves animals. She takes riding lessons once a week, plays soccer, and belongs to a dancing troupe.
