Ours was a hay wagon load of 40 tweens. We turned off the light at 7:30 after 300 candies had been handed out. All were cute as could be, and polite. Lots of parents along, most friends of ours. Our DS and DDIL came over to hand out goodies. They love kids, but live in a subdivision with none. In the older part of our subdivision, there are 400 to 500 kids coming by. We're the first group of houses in the city, and all the county kids come here. We have to have police to direct traffic on the other side.

I live in town, but the kids don't trick or treat. There are many town activities on main street for them. They did these things last night.

We don't have sidewalks here so everyone goes where it is safer walking with the little ones .

Hunny took Ruthie to the side walk area too.She is only three so she didn't need too much.

Also She went trick or treating at a campground last month and had a great time. She had never been trickortreat before so just the event was wonderful for Her . I think She would have loved it just going around saying hello to people in Her costume . Forget the candy . LOL

BTW No kids come to our house

I had a group of 10 all small so cute. A little superman about 3yrs old with flaming red hair! soooooo cute. We didn't have as much as you Navy Wife!!!! But I turned the lights out at about 7:30 when I ran out of goodies. I don't really think the kids liked my treats though, I gave out little bags of pretzels They always get way too much candy from everyone else. I was trying to be good to the parents. but the kids just went Oh Pretzels? lol

Ours was held on Thurs night. Our first was a cheerleader and a football player. We had more kids than ever this year. Many were driven in from other areas. A lot of cars dropping kids off and large groups of kids. Some areas had Halloween tonight.

I suspect that most of the kids came by last night, or would have if I was home.

Nobody came home tonight. Now what will I do with these Smartie candies???
