We have an adult foster home directly across the street. One of the residents is in her mid 30's and is our first trick-or-treater every year. She was outside in her costume at 4:30 this afternoon watching her caretaker mow the lawn, but she waited until dark to come to our door. I'd bet she put on her costume first thing this morning. She gets so much joy from this activity and we're always glad when she comes by.

We have a trunk or treat at the church parking lot and every one ( members and non members of our faith) all bring their candy and the kids go from car to car and get candy and when you are out of candy you leave the parking lot. They also have games and a hot dogs and fun things inside the church culture hall for all the kids. This is a safe way to let the kids enjoy Halloween. Some of the parents decorate their car trunks and dress up in costumes. We have participating merchants donate the food and prizes and even people that can’t stay bring bags of candy to have handed out for them. FUN FUN FUN HALLOWEEN

    We celebrate on Saturday night.

I had one little pirate, but there was a double homicide about 7 minutes from my house in Deltona, at about 4:30 so I think the parents kept the kids at home.

Now remember I am in Norway, my first trick or treaters were on "Saturday" evening, 2 little adorable girls who had NO idea they were a day early. Last night - no one. LOL

We had a banner year, four trick-or-treater's came which is our all time record. We also live in the country and our road is very dark so we were surprised they came but they had flashlights, smart kiddo's

Trick or Treat was to be held on Sat. pm in our town from 5-8. I can't remember the first ones that came, but I do remember the one family that came on Sunday evening. There were three cute little ones all dressed up (and Mom taking pictures). The cutest was their dog. He was a good sized boxer dressed up in a King outfit. He had a crown on his head and his cape had an ermine collar and ermine on the cuffs of his sleeves. He would have been handsome even without a costume!
