My grandboys sure enjoyed Halloween. Everything is new and exciting to them - it's so fun. At our Fall Festival - held at the home of a friend for mainly our church family - they got to chase chickens (is this a Texas thing?), hit a pinata, go on a hay ride, ride these little buckets - see pic below, roast marshmallows and look at all kinds of exciting jack-o-lanterns. How fun!

    cousins, not brothers!

No chickens were harmed in the Great Chase! Promise!

We have always loved Hallowe'en and decorated our home since my kids were small. All through the years, we have added more and more stuff so that for the past 20 years or more, our house has been the "place to go" for the kids in the neighborhood. My son, now near 50, puts out an amazing display with all the lights, misty cauldrons, scary creatures, animated ghosts and goblins and a fabulous sound system. We now have parents of kids who were kids when they first came. It is such a fun holiday and we just love seeing our neighborhood come by. This year we had more than 300 youngsters and passed out a ton of goodies......LOL   :-P

None here either, but haven't had any for the 12 years we've been in this house. Too isolated in the mountain for anyone to drive all the way up and no neighbors. My husband was tempted to go outside and knock on the door but he didn't think I'd bought treets so chickened out. Little did he kinow I had stashed sweets as well as fabric. Had he known there wouldn't have been any left for 'just in case'.

A very sweet boy who is autistic along with his teenage brother & brother's friends. The teenagers would not take any candy so I gave a bunch to Little Michael.

My first was my sweet 4 yearold granddaughter and some of her friends. She has told me for a week she would be a "bootiful butfie, Grammie". The second group was m y grandson (different daughter) who ended up with a bloody nose. After fixing him up, wen used the blood to add to our gruesome decor! left the drops leading to the door, smeared some on the door itself. We live in town, but don't get many. We did go through four pounds of bulk candy, though.

Lived here for 7 years, never a trick or treater. To far out in the country. Always have to get candy, then my husband eats it.

I live across the street from an elementary school. So we have anywhere from 2 to 3 hundred kids a year. don't remember what the first one was but we sure had a bunch of cuties.the weather was nice so their costumes weren't covered with coats.
