Why do people do this?

Some don't care that when they do this everyone else pays. They also don't believe in carma and that what goes around comes around. I do. This weekend I bought 4 items; two were 29.99 and 2 were 19.99. All four boxes looked alot alike since they were kits. The sales lady rang up all 4 at 19.99 which would of saved me 20.00 but cost the store that also. I took my reciept and went back the next day to explain their mistake and have them re-ring them up and I gave them the extra money. I've also done this when they have forgotten to ring something up and I've found it in my bag; my daughter thinks I'm crazy when I go back. I told her I'd end up paying in the long run. The things I bought this weekend were for Christmas; I'd no way give someone a gift that was basically steeling. Plus they had sharp cutting blades and I could see my daughter cutting herself really badly and it'd be due to my dishonesty if I hadn't returned the items.

me too. honest to a fault. i have to go back and pay also. but recently, i had just the opposite experience. buying for company, and spending a lot. i bought l package of spare ribs for $16. and a week later i noticed on the recipt i had been charged for 2. boy was i unhappy. and figured there was just nothing i could do about it. later i got to thinking and thought the PC code was probably the same, so would have told them i had been charged twice for the same item.
