There is sooo much truth in that! My hubby and I love to say every day is Saturday and every nite is Friday nite.

This is way too funny! I can't wait to retire...I feel like I am missing out on all the fun!

How cute and how timely! I joined the ranks of retirees on July 1! Although I seem to be as busy as ever, it's my own busy!

I retired June 2nd and I do as I want, making quilts faster than I could when I was working. Finished one quilt and made 2 others and going to quilt the 3rd one, all since June 2nd.
Of course, I have lots of pets to take care of and 1 Cockatiel, need to groom my Toy Poodles maybe by this weekend, gotta finish this quilt first.

Yes, we love our retirement and more time to spend as we wish without going to work at a job everyday. Maybe its because we taught mainly in junior high in public school systems in five states for over 37 years of our 44 years of marriage.

After five years of retirement, everyday seems a remarkable gift. Every morning is a new sun rise marking a new day. We can leave the burdens of yesterday, and look for joy & hope in the new day.

To be able to quilt, makes a wonderful day... to come to this site and read everyday brings joy & happiness and appreciation of all the talents others have in quilting and in life. A quiet appreciation of beauty in the world, friendship, and what is right with the world that never hits the headlines of a newspaper. Thank you.

Inspite of busy working schedules the families still finds time to quilt. Retirement is a busy time too; may each of you enjoy that life also as we do.

If retirement is anything like being laid off I am not interested yet! I got way more done when I worked and seemed to have more time for myself, Even tho I am home all day by myself it is a lonely place, so here is where I spend all my time. When I worked things just got done now my mentality says I can do them tomorrow or later, Somehow tomorrow never gets here!!
