No, just dogs. I have had too many bad experiences with cats.

We have a cat that acts like everything is on her terms (which, aren't all cats that way? LOL) I don't mind that she "helps" me quilt but without fail, she is always picking the wrong spot to lay on! And my daughter's dog is IN every quilt that I've ever made.

I couldn't live a fully happy life without my kitties in it! They bring me so much joy and happiness. I always say I don't fully trust anyone who says they 'hate' cats. It's just my personal belief, but to me, that says something about the character of the person. :D  :D

And for anyone who loves cats but also have birds, no problem. Just get a kitten and let him/her grow up around your bird. I've raised kittens with gerbils, birds, hamsters, guinea pigs, etc. (can you tell I have a young daughter?? lol) and never a problem! In fact, most grew to be best friends. :D :D

It may be just because cats are so very popular generally. Almost everyone in my book club also has at least one, and only 2 of these women even admits to sewing. The only one who doesn't have a cat says she loves them but has a job that keeps her away too much. Several of us have both cats and dogs.

I am not worried about my bird    He is very territorial and fearless. I think a kitten would be in danger
